I quite like the video and some of the styles in it. It would be interesting to know what your thoughts are. Judging by the comments on the video, it's very mixed, but are people just over-reacting to something that seems like a bit of harmless fun?
Beatriz: Some people in the comments think that it isn't proper hijab and that they shouldn't be 'Westernising' the headscarf. I agree with you though, I like it. X
Unfortunately nonsense like this is exactly the reason why people think "hijab" is solely a headscarf and/or have NO respect for Muslim women because a lot of Muslim women don’t respect themselves or their deen. A simple reading of Quraan and Hadeeths would explain why this stuff is nonsense...
enshaAllah they will learn their deen more! fyi I have nothing against skateboarders or bikers who cover but to show your arwah and be goofy is just disrespectful. hijab is about taqwa to Allah and piety...
i dont wear much different of a hijab than half of these girls, but i do believe their hijab PLUS the way they are acting shows no haya. haya not as i interpret, but how hadiths explain it. im 24 and a revert, and i dress somewhat alike... but they're wrong. this video embarrasses me, and has motivated me to work on my physical hijab.
Mhmm :) They're cute and so beautiful all of them...BUT .. unfortunately i can't like the video if it's supposed to represent the islamic Hijab.
I m recently Hijabi, but i allow myself to say that it's not the Hijab asks us to wear.
I don't see modesty in their clothes, and i can see how beautiful and fashionable they are. it wouldn't be that bad if they at least covered all the parts required in our religion.
But the girls are really cute and full of life i really wish to them the best and better level in their Deen inchallah :)

I'm not a fan. I feel like this is at-tabarooj.
It is politically correct as 'hijab' is nowhere mentioned. The correct terminology would be 'muslim hipster'. (Very clever, and somehow very arrogant)
And in my opinion we can be as politically correct as we like, but Allah (swt) will be our final judge and do we think we can fool our Ultimate Judge?
XXX!
