A Head Scarf (and a Neck Scarf): Love it or Shove it?

We've all come across that hijabi who defies all the style rules in the book and dons both a neck scarf and a headscarf at the same time. In person, I have only seen one girl that managed to pull this look off and I think the reason for that was that she was wearing a high neck coat and the second scarf was only loosely draped across her shoulders.

I personally think that the look is quite nice for hijabi beginners or 'hijabis in training' as I like to call them but for me, it is so much more practical to wear a simple wrap style that covers your neck and chest and doesn't look like you've tried too hard!

Here are some different hijab and scarf looks:

So what do you think of the look, love it or shove it?

i think whatever helps to make you more modest is a plus.. i dont agree with all the "style" as far as the clothes being tight and such but i think it looks cute.. also i know alot of egyptian women wear shawls with their hijab and abayas..some look really cute

I did a look similar to the last photo for extra boob coverage today and it looked stylish yet modest (if I do say so).

It just depends on the outfit! Personally to get that wearing a scarf look, I use a lef (a stand scarf you can buy from any store) I make one strand shorter on my right side, tuck it in my shirt (flatly), then take the left hanging piece and tuck it on my right, creating a triangle effect in the front. it's cute, more modest, and you don't have to have all the material of wearing two scarves!

That's me on the left:

but that scarf has more material then most, it usually looks neater :)

to spice up a solid colored shirt!

I love it! I usually wear a two piece hijab, and wearing a scarf accessorizes it so well. :)

Be sure and pop by and leave a note! And please follow.

Hijab is an urge deep inside the heart of a Muslim(whether male or female) to adopt an appearance that exudes the devotion and love of Allah. For example, I once read a Hadith: The best human beings are those when you glance at them, they remind you of Allah.(izaa ru-oo zukirallaah) . And, when you look at a Muslimah with the simpler attire, she has a far superior spiritual aura than a stylish Muslimah and she would probably evoke the greatest feeling of closeness to the Noor of Allah.

May Allah grant us with the Hijab of heart, which when entrenches in the heart fill you with a joy that is ineffable, to say the least.

Laila, I am new to this blog. I found it while searching on google. But this is so great mash'Allah. Thank you very much for taking the time to share all these great things with us. And I love the third look, it's very stylish. Reminds me of Urban Outfitters.
