Well, it definitely seems that that phrase has taken on a whole new meaning these past few weeks.
Please remember to make duas for our brothers and sisters in Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, Morocco, Sudan.. and, by the end of the week, probably the rest of the Arab lands.. May Allah (swt) grant them victory over their oppressors and may He blacken the faces of Gaddafi and Saif Al Islam (who, might I add, does NOT deserve that name by anybody's stretch of the imagination) in despair and shame and anyone who agrees with their despicable crimes. Ameen.
I could rant for quite a while about the wrong-doings of these arrogant wastes of space, but as this is something greatly affecting the people of our Ummah, I am sure you are already fully aware of the situation and have not simply been ignoring the plights of fellow Muslims. So I will spare you.
Pleaseeee keep them in your prayers.

as salaamu alaikum,
sister, some of the countries that you named are on the content Africa not middle eastern countires. please don't confuse Africa with the Middle East.
Anon. Wa Alaykom Al Salam. I'm not confusing them. Libya, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco are in Africa but they are part of the Middle East. The 'Middle East' is not a continent, it is a collection of Arab-speaking countries.
Ya Allah i hope it wont b the rest middle east. :(

An Arab from Gaza and a self-confessed member of Hamas once asked me, “How can we have peace?” I though it was a strange question coming from a terrorist. When I asked him if he was ready to recognize Israel's right to exist, he answered, “There is no such country as 'Israel'; there is only Palestine, my country.” That's why negotiating peace with Hamas or any other Arab faction is a fool's errand. In this man’s mind, Israel’s right to exist is not an issue because there is no Israel; there is just a large, well-armed group of space-occupying Jewish squatters, who deserve death. Furthermore, every U.S. president keeps saying the same mantra, “They [Palestinian Authority] must recognize Israel’s right to exist.” Correction; they must first recognize that Israel exists. Actually, somebody forgot to tell all of the politicians that we Jews don’t need their permission to exist as a nation; G-d gave that to us at Mount Sinai.
Moshe: What about you accepting Palestine's right to exist? Is it OK to wall them in like animals, prevent aid from getting to them, kill them? All because you are the "chosen ones"? Hamas are not terrorists. They are defending themselves.
